Hey everyone,

Curious how you or your organization keep track of your KPIs. Do you use spreadsheets, dedicated tools, or something custom?

I’m working on a tool to help with KPI tracking and would love to know how you manage it right now. What works, what doesn’t?

We track KPIs in a custom dashboard built using Metabase on top of our data warehouse. Took some effort to set up initially but super useful for the whole team to see our key metrics in one place. Anyone else use Metabase or have other BI dashboard recs?

We use Databox to track all our key metrics in one place. Pulls data from Google Analytics, Stripe, social media, etc. Super helpful for seeing the big picture at a glance and noticing trends over time. Also get a weekly email summary which is 🔥. Any other good KPI dashboards people recommend?

@emilyrosejohnson I use Metabase too. I actually discovered it in my previous job, and it’s been great for making data accessible to non-technical team members. It allows everyone to easily track key metrics without needing deep technical knowledge. It’s pretty simple to install, but building the right queries to get meaningful insights can take some time. Once everything is set up, though, having all the key metrics visible in one dashboard is a huge advantage.

We use a combo of Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Tableau to track all our key metrics - acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, referrals. Having the data centralized in a BI tool like Tableau is crucial for getting a high-level view across the full funnel and spotting trends or problem areas quickly. Curious what others are using for their KPI dashboards?
