How important is your email footer?

Everyone knows that the subject line to an email is super important for hooking a reader into opening it.
But what about the other aspects of an email?
I recently went down an email footer rabbit hole and found some great examples of companies taking advantage of this often overlooked real estate.
Product Hunt actually does a nice job with theirs! Learn why 👇

If you are referring to the email footer found in the newsletter, as opposed to a simple plain text email, then the response to the email footer is very important. It should include:
- Important buttons for 'unsubscribe' and 'view in browser'.
- Information about who sent the email.
- Links to social media.
- Other important information.
Yes, you can add a touch of humor to the email footer. This can make people happy and potentially prevent them from unsubscribing.
I have some good examples here: https://designmodo.com/email-foo... I personally love the approach taken by Maze and Grayers – they really hit the mark!
