How long do you think this path should ideally take?

From idea to launching on Product Hunt it took ~4 months (but there were a couple of beta launches before that on other platforms).
I think idea to the first beta launch should take ~1 month of less in most cases. It can even be just a landing page launch where you can join the waitlist and see a couple of mocked up images of what the product should look like. Mainly just get other people's eyes on it and gauge interest as quickly as possible. Otherwise it's far too easy to waste time on an idea that will never work!

@daniel_hunt4 Yes Daniel, I completely agree with you. What other platforms have you launched on and how are the results?
2 weeks only Man!!!
@alice_goode It's amazing! How did the launch affect your product? Are you already launched on PH?
Going from the initial concept to our Product Hunt launch spanned approximately 4 months, although we did conduct a couple of beta releases on different platforms beforehand.
I firmly believe that the transition from idea to the first beta release should typically take around a month or even less in most instances. It could be as straightforward as launching a landing page where users can sign up for the waitlist and view a few conceptual images of the product's potential appearance. The primary goal here is to swiftly gather feedback from others and assess interest. Otherwise, there's a significant risk of investing valuable time into an idea that may not ultimately succeed.
@muhammad_kamran21 Agree. How often did you change the concept of an idea after the first launch?
