Without paid tier, it's pretty much an email collection form 😌 https://www.producthunt.com/upco...
@shem_l Yeah that was my thinking too - ever used the paid tier?

@maxwellcdavis let me know how it goes! Are you preparing for a launch too?
@shem_l Yeah launching CollabClub a place where people can exchange their skills for time https://www.producthunt.com/upco... and also a Twitch Extension TBA

Making the most out of any page or touchpoint depends upon who are you in your customer's mind. Ask yourself if your customer is aware of you, yes at what stage(problem conscious, solution conscious, brand-conscious). Then ask how can you resolve the hindrances in the customer journey..., it can be by putting out videos, referring to content, and social proof. Make sense?
@samyak_tripathi Yup absolutely right - I think a lot of us probably don't make the most out of them!

As for me, it should be super attractive, maybe with the cool video. I saw a few Ship pages with just a black background, and it's not good, because your page should have its own interesting attributes. For instance, for our Ship page we prepared a special image for the background and added a video (https://www.producthunt.com/upco...)

As for me, I don't really see much value in Ship... but I'd love to read more responses here! Our ship page: https://www.producthunt.com/upco...

Be direct in what your product does and use video. Even if your product is not a visual tool, animate your story. You can see what we did here https://www.producthunt.com/upco...

@shem_l Thank you! We tried to keep it simple and on message. Sign up and follow along! www.producthunt.com/upcoming/adi...

I really like it for testing copy. Using Ship, your product is judged almost entirely by two paragraphs of copy. I love this because it removes any BS and people either understand it or they don't. I also like the emailing feature, although my response rate hasn't been great. We have created our page in upcoming products and we are thinking about getting a Pro tariff. Has anyone had any decent results? Here is our page, we will be glad if you look at it. https://www.producthunt.com/upco...

We will soon have our first product on PH so I don't have any experience on it right now but when I see other pages - visuals, simplicity, and spread to the community are the most important aspects I think. Btw everyone, we’re launching in late April or the start of May. Check out our upcoming PH page: www.producthunt.com/upcoming/eff... Our project is called: Effecto. It’s an app for detailed health tracking. Pretty much for everything that is related to your physical or mental health and every daily factor that can affect you.
@kmelaika Seems to be the general feedback - think we need to do some more work πŸ˜€ I'd already come across your product I think - all the best with the launch πŸš€πŸš€

Curious to know more about ship pages too. How long before a launch is a good amount of time to use a ship page?
@sneha_saigal Personally I think a minimum of a month - I mean the value is in the updates people get so the longer the better in some ways!

I think with the free plan, you can use it like your website and gain some quasi-credibility with affiliation with PH. Custom video and an engaging, theme appropriate background image seem to be the optimizations in play https://www.producthunt.com/upco...
@dylan_merideth Yeah - have you ever experimented with the paid plans?
    Dylan Merideth
@maxwellcdavis Not yet, I feel like Id rather spend that money on SEO elsewhere, but this is something I am not opposed to. Are using the paid plan? I saw you could A/B test there amongst other things

This is all great advice! We just tried to stay straight to the point but I'm loving the ship pages on here. This is ours: https://www.producthunt.com/upco...
