I'm curious to hear others' answers on this too. I've found that you need to be very genuine or already a part of a community to market. People will get mad if they can tell you're just joining to market and then leave. The times that I've found it easiest is if I provide a post/comment that in itself has value and kind of as a subtext say "oh and btw here's my blog where I talk more about this if you're interested" or "Right now I'm working on an app to fix this problem because I've been dealing with it for years!"
    1. You should look for subreddits that are related to your product or service and have an active and engaged community. Think of which problem you are solving and find subreddits for the people who are experiencing that problem. For example for my product I go to time-management subreddits and click on people on those subreddits and look which other subreddits those people are following. 2.When writing your posts, make sure they are informative, engaging, and relevant to the subreddit community. You should avoid sounding too promotional and focus on providing value to the community. It's also important to use attention-grabbing headlines and include visuals to make your posts stand out. Daily. 3. Engaging with the subreddit community is key to building relationships and gaining trust. You should respond to comments and questions in a timely and helpful manner, and avoid spamming or promoting your product too aggressively.

Subreddits should be active and relevant to your product. Be wary of posting. I've found 2 ways. 1/ Posting high value things (without plugging your link). Super hard to do, but can get massive traffic. You will want to make the post angled so that people _want_ to know what you're working on. One post I did had 47k views, but I couldn't plug the link. It's hard. 2/ Commenting. I did an interview with an indie founder who uses this channel technique extensively and it does work. Like I'm doing here, you try to find threads where you can add value. Then you naturally offer people something more (that's relevant) that they can click on to. E.g. your product. Here's the interview/write up: https://benjaminboman.substack.c...

Thanks @maxwellcdavis! My favorite method can be found here: https://gummysearch.com/how-to/f... But the TLDR is: 1. Find relevant communities 2. Track keywords related to your product and your customer pain points 3. Chime in with a helpful comment and a link to your product/blog

I tried to post in realted subreddits but with not big success, sadly. Usually, before telling about your project at particular subreddit you should join it and be active for a few days at least. Or your post probably will be banned.

On Reddit, there are various ways to market such as 1. Participate in relevant subreddits 2. Host an AMA (Ask Me Anything) 3. Run a contest 4. Advertise 5. Valuable content However, I would prefer participating in discussions in the most relevant subreddits by providing insightful advice and information because you can look for subreddits that are pertinent to your product or service. You can also create a reputation and develop connections with other users by doing this. Also note that to avoid appearing spammy, make sure to read the rules and guidelines for each subreddit before posting else your account can get suspended too.
