There's a lot of guides out there from makers who had successful launches. Typically in a lot of these there are days, if not weeks leading up in preparation for the launch to maximize the outcome. Do a google search and check some out

@richw Hey Rich Watson, I searched on google and read tonnes of resources. However, I wanted to hear from real people about how they did their first launch and what common pitfalls I should overcome.

Here are the two resources you need — 1. https://blog.producthunt.com/how... 2. https://www.typestudio.co/blog/p... Some feedback: - If you think your product is very strong or you already have a large fan base on Product Hunt, it makes sense to launch on a strong day. If, on the other hand, you want to get a top ranking more easily and accept that fewer people will explore the product, the weekend is a good time for the launch. - Need content pieces + mockups + well-done logo. - Either we hunt ourselves or get a famous person to hunt for us.

@arunachawla Thanks for the detailed explanation. I'm targeting SaaS Founder and I want to launch on a strong day and have chosen Friday 19th August for launching it. If you could share your feedback on the PH page would be so much grateful. https://www.producthunt.com/prod.... I have chosen a hunter who is a good friend of mine and have hunted products previously.

There are loads of guides on how to get the most out of a launch. But I tend to think, just get the product out there, don't spend loads of time optimising. Once you get some initial feedback and improve your product you can always launch again with a new feature.

@alex_vidon_ai Completely agree with you, Alex. I guess I'm quite nervous as it's my first launch and I don't have any previous experience.
