I'm not your conventional SEO expert. I got into SEO because I launched an SEO tool, and two more followed. Doing SEO to rank SEO tools is kind of meta. :) The best SEOs and marketers compete in this arena. But 100% of my customers come from organic traffic, so I’ve learned a few things along the way. Ask me anything about SEO strategies or growing SaaS products with organic traffic. I’ll share the tactics I used to compete with the best SEOs and marketers – and help you apply them to your own project!

What SEO myths or common mistakes do you see SaaS founders make ?

@ssv445 A common myth is that more backlinks will bring higher rankings, or on the contrary, that backlinks are not important anymore. What matters more today is the relevance of the link (from the user's point of view). These are my criteria: domain authority of the referring domain, industry has to be the same, the context of the link (surrounding text), the anchor text, the target page has to bring value or additional information to the user. It's common to see these lists of startup directories where you can register your startup. I think this does not bring any value for the above reasons. I would also generally avoid blindly following what expert X said you should do. For every expert who says white, I can find an expert who says black. It depends on so many factors, like the industry you're in. For this reason, you should question everything I say ;)
