Nowadays, I've noticed that many products are integrating AI, even where it may not be essential. So, my question is, is it compulsory to add AI to a product?

In my opinion, No, you don't have to add AI to your product just because it's a trend. The key is to see if AI can genuinely help with specific problems, make things better for users, and align with your product's goals and resources. I know we get the feeling left out if your product doesn't have AI—it's all about what's right for your unique offering. If AI can genuinely add value, go for it. But remember, there's no need to rush; take your time for thoughtful implementation.

@shitalgohil I agree on the part, if AI can bring true Value then we must develop it and advance our machine learning to be useful for our clients, instead of just associating ourselves as just another AI startup.

Ask Simple Question to yourself: Saying your tool has AI will bring you more eyes and customers? If yes, do it! It's good to spend 2 days and build something using ChatGPT that'll bring you more customers even if it's not essential. AI is tailwind! Choice is yours, whether to step in and get the benefit or be the old-age-product.

Your question touches on an important aspect of modern product development. AI shouldn't be added just for the sake of it. Its integration should be driven by a clear purpose, such as improving efficiency, accuracy, or user experience. Products should solve real problems or enhance user satisfaction, and AI should be a tool to that end, not an end in itself. Have you encountered products where AI felt like an unnecessary addition?

For some products, it's a huge leap forward, and some are just following trends. I think it depends on the individual case

Compulsory in daily life: No, AI is not currently compulsory in any significant way for most people's daily lives. While AI is increasingly integrated into various aspects of our lives, from our smartphones to transportation systems, it's generally not essential for basic living. You can navigate daily tasks without directly interacting with complex AI systems.

AI is a powerful tool, but it's not one size fits all. Whether to integrate AI depends on the specific needs and goals of a product.

I 💯 percent agree. Today's day and age is very similar to the dot com era. Everyone started an internet company and got rich even off of the dumbest ideas. I think we are experiencing the exact same thing today. However, this means that the market for AI will soon be saturated or its already starting to be saturated. And I think AI businesses will begin to die within the next 3 to 5 years for whoever didn't make an extraordinary product.

The use of AI is not compulsory in many contexts. Whether AI is necessary depends on the specific goals, tasks, and requirements of a given situation. AI can be beneficial for automating processes, analyzing data, and solving complex problems, but it's not universally required. Many tasks and industries function well without direct integration of AI technologies. The decision to incorporate AI depends on factors such as the nature of the task, available resources, and the potential benefits it can bring to a particular scenario.

Not at all. It can even be detrimental when the goal goes from solving a problem to figuring out how to add AI to a product.
