I believe it has the potential to do so, now that AI has the ability to sound more like human. But the emotional side of it will be challenging.

AI is indeed the future of customer service as it enables faster response times, personalized interactions, and efficient handling of customer queries, ultimately enhancing the overall customer experience.
It can logically emulate what needs to be told to the customer. But without really understanding the user's emotions it will be hard to provide solutions just by being logical for certain scenarios.
