I recently joined Product Hunt and am in the process of exploring it. It seems to me that most product launches are conducted by the creators themselves to promote their product, gauge public interest, and so on. However, I'm aware that a product can also be launched by a regular user who may have stumbled upon an interesting product and decides to introduce it on Product Hunt independently. The question I have is: how can one prevent (if possible) just any person from launching a product made by another person or company when the product isn't ready yet (perhaps in a beta version that the owner doesn't consider fully prepared for a launch)? If the launch is conducted by someone else during this phase, isn't there a risk of "burning" the opportunities offered by a launch at a better time?
