Hello PH community, We launched our product Beeyond AI on Monday (July 15) and ended up as #3 Product of the Day. Since I learnt so much from the community here, I wanted to share back my insights to anyone who is about to launch soon. 1. Pay attention to your Pre-launch Dashboard (the newly added feature of PH) and submit your product for review way in advance. We launched without much knowledge of Pre-launch Dashboard and submitted for review pretty late. And that probably was a contributor to us not getting any feedback and also not getting featured (initially). More about Pre-launch Dashboard here: https://www.producthunt.com/discussions/changelog-july-15-changelog-pre-launch-dashboard-shoutouts-updates-launch-assistant 2. You can get featured at any point of time during the day. So, don't lose hope immediately if you don't get featured initially. Yes, it is very crucial to get featured, if you want to get ranked higher. It is a no brainer that the amount of traffic you get on your PH page gets dropped by about 90% if you are not featured. How many of us click on "All" and scroll all the way down anyway? We were a bit unlucky that we didn't get featured right away. But thanks to PH team for recognizing us our product and featuring us 5 hours after the launch start time. Also, despite not getting featured initially, with our own followers and user base, we had gathered a decent amount of upvotes and activity on our page, which certainly helped. And yes, that's a real thing. You can get featured at any time during the launch day, although of course it's best to get featured right from the get-go. I guess the lesson here is that you don't need to be disheartened if you don't get featured immediately. Rather keep pushing to gain as much momentum as possible immediately after launch, and the PH team will most likely notice and feature your product as well. 3. Check https://hunted.space/ They do an amazing job at visualizing all the data points (votes, comments, rates of votes, products by categories, etc.)There are so many insights there which you can't get on PH. You will know what I am talking about once you visit it. 4. Perhaps you already know this, but here's my confirmation too. Launch on weekend if your primary goal is to rank higher. Launch in the middle of the week if your primary goal is to get more traffic to your site. It's simply because PH users are more active in the middle of the week. We launched on Monday to get a good mix of the two. Hence, Monday and Friday might be nice if you want a good balance. Since you have come this far, I would really appreciate it if you could go and check our launch page and possibly leave some feedback there. This is already past launch day, but we always are on the lookout for valuable feedback from the awesome community here. https://www.producthunt.com/posts/beeyondai If you have any questions or would like to learn anything more from our experience, do leave a comment. And finally, thank you to everyone who supported us during our launch. We are so so grateful to Product Hunt and the community here! 🙏
