I don't use Notion. I'm active on Discord because we have a large (17,000 users) community relating to our app.
So my team and I use a Discord server differently than they are inteded for. They are perfect for what we do, making to-do lists, giving segregated discussion channels/threads for specific features, ability to use Discord bots to automate anything like github activity, and a lot more.
We used to do this all through group DM's but it got annoying when 2 people were working on something and everyone else had to get ping notifications every time they sent messages. So now we ping or get pinged when it's relevant
