Before Lunch > All meetings. After Lunch > Deep or creative work. Evenings > Wrapping up any leftovers and planning next day. There are so many hats and context switches that happens so had to divide my week like @elizabeth_ruzzo Monday - Tuesday > Product Wednesday - Thursday > Growth Friday > People operations

I don't have a typical day. I am usually up at 4am. Then I catch the train to Seattle around 526. Work on the train. Get to Seattle around 645-7am. With the HR Tech startup, podcast and the volunteer work at www.bunkerlabs.org my days are pretty full. I have been doing my best to go from just being busy to being productive. I usually catch the 630pm train home and get to the house around 745pm. I try to wind down. But usually I just do more work. I realize this is probably not the best schedule as far as taking care of myself.

I'm basically spending my day in meetings, and hanging out on PH, LinkedIn, Twitter and Hacker News to stay aware of what's going on in the entrepreneurial world

Great question! I'm a founder of a distributed/remote health tech startup. Early mornings: Deep work; Morning-Early afternoon: Meetings; Afternoon-Evening: Follow-up from meetings and more deep work; Night: Planning and clearing inbox/asana. I'm now trying to batch focus (and meetings) by topic. It's helped a ton. Monday: Technical Product Tuesday: Product Wednesday: Growth & Content Thursday: Networking & Finance Friday: People operations Weekends: Strategy & Catch up

Thanks for sharing! Your calendar looks very productive with long enough chunks of focus times being nicely deployed. 1 hr planning block at the end of the day is especially good. My day typically looks like: – 7:00 am – 8:00 am – clear inbox – 8:00 am – 9:30 am – high priority work – 9:30 am – 11:30 am – meetings – 11:30 am – 12:00 pm – reply messages – 12:00 pm – 01:00 pm – lunch – 02:00 pm – 05:00 pm – work (as much as possible) – 05:00 pm – 07:00 pm – meetings I try to do next-day planning before I go to bed. Maybe I should try to make it blocked in my calendar.

Nice question! I try to be productive in the mornings, then push all of my meetings/calls to after 12pm and do boring stuff later in the day.

Hahaha, for real, when I wake up and have my coffee. It's about 10am in the morning and then all day work with a break for socialising in the afternoon and then work till 2-3 am in the morning. This is my start up life routine. Wake up, put away fires and sleep when I can. Not a very motivating one, but this is how it is for me 😊
