Tips for a new newsletter creator?

Question

Anyone have tips for a newsletter creator on finding an audience?

I'm in the process of launching a daily, free motivational/humorous newsletter that's meant to stand out from the typical, content smorgasbord that newsletters have become.

Looking for tips that others used to grow their audience.  Would love any suggestions.

I'd say before launching a newsletter, learn more about your audience - people who will open, read and react to your messages. The newsletter you send should bring any value to its reader. Otherwise, there is a risk on "unsubscribe" button click, spam mark or block.

Before growing your audience, understand who is the current viewer. (if you have not done it yet of course)

Make sure to have fun doing it, especially if it's a weekly one. It's like going to the gym you have to keep showing up :)

@john_brown18 @vaalz yep, as far as I remember it's the KISS principle - Keep it short and simple. Yet I have also seen other interpretations as Keep it simple and smart or Keep it short and sweet... Seems like the main idea is to Keep It (going) and being consistent and relevant!
