Once I asked what are the most common reasons to unsubscribe.
The most common reasons why people unsubscribed were:
π spammy newsletter (too many links),
π the purpose behind signing up for the newsletter no longer exists,
π "boring" β the same content,
π too many emails in a short time,
π information overwhelm to name a few.

As a creator, it is crucial to me to know what people like/donβt like so that I can improve.
What can we do about it?
From my side:
β Asking for feedback (DMs)
β Creating a poll/survey
β Brainstorming with my current/possible subscribers (or ChatGPT) π
From your side:
β When you unsubscribe, give a reason (what you didnβt like).
β Let the creator know in DMs or reply in the newsletter what you liked (because the creator can do more of those)
I am going to take the chance to roast one of my newsletters.
Let me know, what you like and what you hate about it.
Donβt be scared to be harsh. I need to find a way to sort it out.
π My newsletter is in the comments. π
(Tomorrow, I am going to send the new one on Steve Jobs' topic so wanna nail it.) π

minimalist phone: creating folders
Launching soon!
Mostly it is the purpose behind signing up for the newsletter which no longer exists.
Recently I unsub'd from one which had the person's profile image rotating. It created disturbance in my mind every time it came up. For sure his content is good, but I need focus first before reading anything.
Not sure if this is helpful.

@vertikanigam It is β because I was considering adding a GIF profile photo too. π
So I will rather do not that.
