    I read many resources stating videos help in SEO but I am not sure how much.

    It is not the video file but the text you introduce it with. The Web is mainly a written means of communication in which people read before clicking!

    @simplytedel Thanks for the answer. Do you think adding subtitles make a difference? As it give keywords within the video? Also, adding markers for subsections help in searchablity?

    Videos don’t, let them float but link back to your website, they can hinder with slow loading speeds.
