I am getting ready for the second launch. The first time, my biggest challenge was choosing the date with the most traffic, which meant a lot more competition. So, what are the most common mistakes made during a first product launch, and how can they be effectively avoided?

The biggest mistake is being ready for the release, but the product isn't prepared to retain users.

Not being prepared to onboard and retain users is def a big mistake. You also need a solid go-to-market strategy and channels to reach your target audience. Don't underestimate customer support - if your product has issues at launch, you need to be super responsive. And have a plan to gather user feedback and rapidly iterate... successful products are rarely perfect right out of the gate.

Not having a solid plan for user onboarding and retention is a huge one. You need to think through the whole user journey and how you'll keep them engaged after the initial launch hype dies down. Definitely do beta testing to get feedback and iterate before a full public launch.

That's a great question, Nisa! I can totally relate to the challenges of a product launch. Choosing the right timing is crucial, and it can make or break your launch success. From my experience, one of the most common mistakes is not having a solid marketing strategy in place before the launch. Without pre-launch buzz, it’s tough to gain traction when the product goes live. Additionally, overlooking the importance of understanding your target audience can lead to misalignment between the product and market needs. By the way, if you're looking for some fun to take a break from the stress of planning, I recommend checking out brawl pirates .
