What am I getting out of the community there? There has to be main information. P.S. I would love to get your thoughts on the discussion that I recently posted and your views on it would love to get your view on it. - What’s Missing in Your Favourite Startup Newsletters?

Easy onboarding, engagement tools, moderation options. User experience is key.

Agree that strong moderation tools are key for community platforms. Having word filters, bayesian spam detection, human moderators, etc. all help a ton. I also think user flagging features plus account limits based on age/karma can prevent a lot of spam and bad behavior. Overall you want a multi-pronged approach leveraging both AI and human oversight. What specific anti-spam tools have you found most effective?

The tools/features to counter the spam effectively and generously😅, be it with the help of A.I.

Definitely look for robust moderation tools, granular notification settings, and deep integration capabilities with other platforms. Discourse is a great open source option that has super flexible permissions, single sign-on, and a plugin ecosystem. But features really depend on your specific use case and community needs. Same question here - what do others think are must-have community platform features?

A few key things I look for: 1) Ability to create subgroups/channels to keep discussions organized 2) Robust moderation tools to keep things friendly 3) Integration with other tools like Slack for notifications 4) Mobile apps for engaging on the go. Discourse and Circle are a couple good options out there from what I've seen!
