Hello fellow founders! I'm curious to hear from you about your expectations when launching your products on Product Hunt. What are the outcomes you usually anticipate? Is it primarily about gaining new users, collecting feedback, or discovering potential partners?

Well honestly I would have loved for Product Hunt to be a not for profit community by founders and Startups for helping new founders and Startups. Yeah they just have to figure out how to keep the platform and community running from donations from successful Startups etc. Expecting founders to buy ads to promote launches on PH is pathetic. Please tell me how many founders launching on PH wanna pay $$$$ for traction??? I mean that is PH Expecting too much from the founders that ate just getting started 😳
@websitestoolz I understand your sentiment. It would indeed be amazing if Product Hunt operated as a not-for-profit community, driven by founders and startups aiming to support newcomers. Relying on donations from successful startups to sustain the platform and community is an interesting approach to explore. The idea of expecting founders to purchase ads for launch promotion can be frustrating, particularly considering that many startups are just beginning their journey. Finding a balance between sustainability and accessibility for early-stage founders is undoubtedly a challenge. It'll be intriguing to observe how Product Hunt evolves in response to these concerns.

We are launching this week; our top three goals are increasing brand awareness, leading generation, and generating buzz.
Usually the min target is to get 1-3 Product of the day. Though the PH launch is a great source of high quality traffic and leads
I have all these expectations - new users, feedback, and potential partners. I'm checking "potential partners" as it's under-represented at the moment, but I think Product Hunt is a great venue to find partners.
Launching soon!
New users would be great but I just see it as a free (sweat equity cost of building community) place to promote your product.

launching on product hunt? think of it as a multifaceted mirror.
it reflects user interest, but also serves as a heat map for potential pain points.
yes, we crave the upvotes and hunt for new users. but let's go deeper.
feedback loops tighten. it's an opportunity to listen, really listen.
maybe you find a cofounder, maybe a critic. both add value.
anticipate outcomes? more like embrace the unknown. that's where magic lives.
don't sleep on partnerships. they often arrive in unexpected comments.
honestly, it's like throwing a party. you set the vibe but can't control the playlist.
measured expectations, unbounded curiosity. that's my mantra.
it's not just a launch; it's a learning lab in the public eye.
@shajedulkarim_ Your mantra truly resonated with me, and I'd love to adopt it for my own launch, if you don't mind. In a couple of weeks, I'll be launching too, and it's a mix of excitement and nerves. My application unfolds its value when users go through screenings and see their results, making their reactions quite unpredictable. Thanks for the inspiring perspective!"

It’s a new challenge for me and is so exciting. The game is enjoyable and more interesting than completing university or winning awards at another conference. It's like a fantastic and completely new journey to reach one more peak point.
It should match with our SMART goals .
@therahulv smart for you refers to ?.....
