What difficulties might you face while living as a foreigner?

Living in a foreign country, especially for newcomers, can bring challenges like language barriers, cultural adjustment, social isolation, and navigating legal and administrative issues (like Navigating visas, work permits, and local regulations). What challenges have you faced, and how have you handled legal and administrative issues?

For me, it's definitely been more on the language barrier and administrative side. Even though I've learned the local language to a certain extent, there are still limits to how deeply I can explain things in the language, which can be difficult at times. In terms of administration, there are some things that locals can just do through a website or app that I still have to go to in person for, which I hope will improve one day.

All you mention + higher costs of living. + stigmatisation that you are from the certain country.
@busmark_w_nika Yes, the higher cost of living and discrimination are significant challenges. But what about navigating daily life and understanding government processes, rules, and regulations?
Securing a place to live and a job can be difficult, especially without a local network or language proficiency.
Higher cost of living for sure. Also potential language barriers and cultural differences to navigate. Feeling like an outsider at times. And yeah, possible discrimination based on your nationality unfortunately. It's not easy but can also be a great growth experience!
