Let's say I have a great startup idea, but do not have time or resources to turn it into a full fledged company. What can I do to monetize this idea? Can I find a relevant startup in the industry, sell the idea, and position myself as an advisor? Have you had this experience in the past?

If you have a great startup idea, don't hastily quit your commitments. Instead, allocate time from unproductive activities to build an MVP. This way, you can balance work and development while validating your ideas and skills. Once ready, gradually transition into full-time entrepreneurship. Remember, avoiding strict deadlines allows you the freedom to explore and expand your idea.

Well, it might be difficult to sell or monetize an idea as it is if you don't have time or resources. But it's definitely possible to validate an idea with a minimal time and resource commitment. You need to invest 5 full days, and you will have a validated idea in just 5-days. This is done through a process called 5-Day Sprint used by Google ventures incubated startups & YC startups. Once you have a validated idea, then you may do the following: 1. Sell the validated idea with all your findings during the sprint. (At this stage it becomes more saleable. 2. Commit some more time to develop the product while working part time and sell it. You may read more about 5-day sprints from the following resources: 1. Sprint Labs blog - https://www.sprint-labs.in/post/... 2. The Sprint book website - https://www.thesprintbook.com/

Hmm. The only way I can see pulling this off is social media. Create a youtube channel/ twitter/ instagram sharing your start up ideas. Or. Ask to collaborate on communities like producthunt/ Indie hackers. Don't really think any Idea as a service businesses exist.( I may be wrong here)
