What do you think about giveaways in SaaS?

We have a SaaS plagiarism-checking tool, and it came to my mind to hold a giveaway among subscribers (1000 pages to check) on Linkedin. What do you think the outcome would be? Would you participate in it if you were an educator/student?

There are pros and cons for everything there are potential benefits and drawbacks that you need to go through. From my opinion, it can be beneficial because it helps to message, product, or service to resonate with the people most likely to be interested.

Depending on the stage your product is at, and what goal would you like to achieve with such a giveaway.

If you want to gain first users, feedback and perhaps reviews - I'd go with that, but I wouldn't expect it that a LinkedIn post will go viral. Anyway, worth testing out. ;-)
