When searching for a domain, many miss features like comprehensive availability across multiple extensions, intelligent alternative suggestions, and a way to check social media handle availability. SEO insights, historical data on the domain's reputation, and a seamless checkout or transfer process are also often lacking, making it harder to choose and secure the best domain efficiently.

@esadik totally. And what SEO insights you would like to see? and which kind of historical data?
    Benson Gao
Price comparison, domain usage history, SEO status
    Mike Ivars
@bensongao price comparison it is clear, but with the usage history and SEO status.., do you refer for registered domains? If so, is it for to buying it from its current owner instead of the registering it? And what data you would like see: In the case of "usage history"? the who changes of owners/registrar or the previous pages that host? And in the SEO status I guess that: DA and backlinks mainly.. it is?

    Not available and high price
    Mike Ivars
@mervin_hicks ok, but availability is in the most of search engines or registrars, no? The high prices could be solved with a price comparative of the searched domain in different registrars when you get the results. 👍🏻

Not sure. Namecheap seems to work really well for me ("beast mode"), all other tools I know are severely lacking. You planning a domain search tool?
    Mike Ivars
@konrad_sx Yeah, we are working on in now. If you want I can share with you, to do beta-testing. :) NameCheap beast mode is ok, but you only can buy in it with their prices, and their interface is not the best, at least for me. What are their features that most you love, and which you hate?

@ivarsmas Yes, NameCheap is far from optimal, just had a look at it again. I suppose you did comprehensive research for existing domain search tools, is there nothing better than NameCheap currently? If so, I agree that it's a really good idea to build a better such tool. I think it's quite clear what to aim for: - comprehensive selection of TLDs - comprehensive checking of providers for best price - comprehensive search features (filter & sort for price, length, TLD topic, maybe some more things) - sensible alternative suggestions (by word-similarity, maybe also semantic?) - fast, clean, easy to use - As others said, checking social media handle availability would be a very useful addition PS I'm not searching a domain currently, so not interested in beta-testing unfortunately.

@konrad_sx I have my preferences, but none of them have everything that I think they should to have. So for that is why we are building it. Yes, I agree in adding all this, maybe the social media handle will be for the next release, no the initial one, but the others is part of the launch. Ok, no problem, thanks for your feedback. Anyway, I think I'll share here in the discussion when we launch in case anyone wants to take a look at it.

I'd love to see intelligent suggestions for alternative domains if my preferred one is taken. Like showing me other TLDs that are available, keywords I could add, or tweaks to make it unique but memorable. A tool that checks social media handle availability at the same time would be clutch too. Anything to streamline the process!
    Mike Ivars
@harrisi253 yeah it would be great, addtional suggestions to the initial search in other tLD and with variations. And yes, the same said @sebastiancoleashford too.
    Sebastian Cole Ashford
Definitely would love to see integrated social media handle checking when searching for a domain. And having SEO insights right there too would be super helpful for finding a strong domain name. Seems like a lot of registrars are still lacking those key features.
    Mike Ivars
@sebastiancoleashford to check de social media handle is interesting. And with the "SEO insights".. do you refer for registered domains that are for sale, right?
    Daniel Joseph Bennett
Intelligent alt domain suggestions are 🔑. Need tools to check social handle availability too. SEO insights & domain rep history would be clutch for picking the best option. Seamless secure checkout is a must. Someone build this! 🙏
    Mike Ivars
@danieljosephbennett Absolutely. We are in it ;). Do you usually buy registered domains for sale?
    Gladys Maywalt
domain usage history, SEO status most
    Mike Ivars
@gladys_maywalt Yes, agree! Do you usually buy registered domains for sale?
    Jason Matthew Lewis
Agreed, finding the perfect domain is hard! I always want see suggestions for similar available domains across different TLDs. And checking social handles would be clutch. Anyone know of tools that can help with this?
    Mike Ivars
@jasonmatthewlewis It's true. And yes, these are needed. We are working on it right now, so I can share it here soon, for testing it, if you want.
    Juniper Sage Beaumont
For sure, solid suggestions here! Instant domain availability checks across all TLDs is key. AI-powered alt domain ideas would be clutch too. Linking socials to see if handles are open = genius. Anyone know tools that pull SEO/rep data on domains? Smooth checkout process to secure your pick is a must!
    Mike Ivars
@junipersagebeaumont totally agree. In the case of these data, there are some providers that can help. So, we will take in account ;)
