The best thing a company can give to their employees is an opportunity to grow their skillset. I think rewards and recognition make you feel good but every new skill you learn will help you grow in your career and as an individual.

Recognition for their work and impact on the business. Won't harm to have more money anytime though! :P

A higher salary. These days, WFH, meal allowance and insurance are just tablestakes 😜

    A remote working solution.
    A remote working solution.
Freedom, more specifically freedom to choose their working hours, location, and assignment, freedom to experiment and fail, and freedom to be themselves and not have to put airs (think introverts who have to act extraverted to "come out of their shell").

Sounds utopian almost @maya_ovice thanks for being bold to just say that many wont even go as far to think just because they know it wont happen. Sad but true. I think though now we now have way more options than we had 10 years ago so may be what you think is not that far out πŸ™‚

Underrated benefit for WFH employees: monthly cleaning service. You want your 'office' to be clean and somewhere you feel proud

A share of future cashflows, like a royalty, limited based on the employee's contributions in the past and the present. This is enabled by VenEx, a SaaS product we just launched to this community today! I'm not sure if this is "the best benefit", but it could be one of the best ways to build ownership in a way employees and hiring candidates can visualize real gains from the company's growth, esp. if the returns from stock options are too far out and unpredictable. Let us know what you think.

Considering the safety aspect of employees, I would say a good team of safety officers to assure them during the time of crisis. for example the ongoing covid-19 pandemic or Russo-Ukrainian conflict. In addition to that, how about a solution that can potentially save lives during tragic events? It's called AreYouSafe? Bot. The best part is that it is a Slack and MS Teams integration. Here is the website link >> https://safetybot.in/

Paid break to learn innovation and be more creative as a person, Book reading sessions are the thing that I'm proving to my team meats with other facilities.

A REAL work-life balance culture + financial benefits.

The benefits should differ from person to person. For one person gym would be amazing benefit, for other - great health insurance. For one - transport compensation, for other - additional holiday. Therefore ability to choose the benefits based on their costs for the company should be the best option. If I had to choose one, I would take an ability to have a free lunch at work - where you also can choose what will you eat and make it as a small daily team-building at work. :)

Recognition for the effort they put into something or the results they achieved. Peer-to-peer recognition is precious and not used to its full potential.

@marina_djuric that's true. But I think the original questions was more about other forms of benefits, like more PTOs, savings plan, flexible remote policy, etc.

Good Work Culture, family first environment, training & opportunity to grow within the company. I feel this is at least something every company must provide if they don't get that sooner or later they will move on.

It's different for everyone - employees and companies. Startups in can be crunched for cash but flexible in WFH & PTO policies & offer equity where salary is not as strong. More mature companies can offer perks that startups just cannot - more competitive salary, tuition / education reimbursement, etc. Stipulating that salary & PTO are *at least average* for the role / level, in our very current climate, (post-vax/late-COVID) I would say the option to work from where they want is the single biggest benefit people are looking for. It's a major cited factor in the Great Re-shuffle, anyway.

Hi @dow_osage, as you mentioned everyone has to choose what will work for them and I too agree that WFH is one thing that has become a must for many because it not just brings freedom but the time people save they are utilising that to enrich their lives ☯

@rosemarie_pilapitiya How do you imagine good work environment?
    Rosemarie Pilapitiya
@marko_rakic2 a supportive environment where an employee is comfortable enough to be themselves professionally. an environment where the employee's work is valued and given constructive criticism. an environment where an employee can grow as an employee and as a person.
