    The best way to attract investors to your startup is to not actually NEED investors for your startup. Fundraising is really a sales process - you need to sell the investor on why they should invest. What is it that makes an investor want to give you money? The likelihood that they will make more money if they do. Best way to illustrate that is to not be in a position to "need" the money but to be in a position where that money will accelerate your growth and the input --> output equation is clearly illustrated for them.

    If you have the numbers they are looking for, they are going to follow you. And there's no better way. Some other ways are having a great product/idea, team, connections, alma mater, etc.
