  • πŸŽ₯ What video editing tools can you use (almost for) free?

I think that writing and video are parts I have been doing for most of my life. I still remember an old Nokia 6300 or VHS Panasonic camera we used with friends to experiment. πŸ˜€ And yesterday Anil @code_chemist asked for some video editing software. So it came to my mind to share those I used since I remember. (At the bottom are those I started with practically as a kid.) :D ---------- Currently actively using these video editing tools: – CapCut – ClipWing – DaVinci Resolve This is where the history is written: – iMovie – FinalCut Pro – Sony Vegas Studio – Adobe Premiere – CyberLink – Windows Movie Maker πŸ˜‚ Do you have any preferred? ---------- BTW, I leave the link for Wikipedia so you can see which other tools are currently active or inactive, renamed to another version etc. Hope, it will help.

I'm using Capcut and Canva, and I think Capcut seems better in case of Free features and multi-platform support

@xeasonchan they started asking for subscription on some desktop features. Do you plan to purchase yearly or monthly?

I would like to try CapCut, but unfortunately, it’s not available in India right now. However, Canva is a great option! I used it for my promotional video, and it worked well. Another useful free tool is InShot, an app that helps you quickly edit videos from your mobile and post them on social media. My sister uses it for her YouTube videos, and I'm amazed at how well it works for a free app, especially if you’re okay with editing on mobile. By the way, I’m a fan of Adobe Premiere! If you're curious,πŸ˜‚ I’ve been using Premiere Pro since college, and it’s the best for me. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

@priyanka27 Really? :D I am not sure what is wrong with me, but Premiere was always a hard nut to crack and many people said to me: that DaVinci is too difficult, it is for more advanced users, and they used it for movie making. But that tool seems to me so intuitive. :D But InShot is only for smartphones, isn't it? CapCut is improving by each upgrade, they are too good now.

Premiere pro is my favorite, just because I've used it for so long and never had a problem with it

@nathancovey I suppose it is most used. I am probably an abnormal person because I do not get well with it. :D
