As others have mentioned, Reddit is sensible to ad spam, so it's a lot better to be part of the community (answering questions, helping others and so on) before sharing. That being said there are some channels who are marketing friendly and you can look at their rules to find out.
Some useful tools for Reddit:
1. Reddit Community Search - https://gummysearch.com/
2. Reddit Stats - https://subredditstats.com/
3. Reddit Keyword map - https://anvaka.github.io/sayit/?...
Good luck!

Reddit tends to be very hostile towards perceived spamming or any advertising. Redditors like an active community of people talking or helping each other out. Posting your product like an ad on a subreddit will usually either get downvoted or just get crickets. But Reddit can be great for idea validation.
Reddit is tricky, I got this list from a friend that I intend to use close to my launch date:

http://reddit.com/r/SideProject/
http://reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur...
http://reddit.com/r/Design_Criti...
http://reddit.com/r/Startups

http://reddit.com/r/Indiebiz

Remember not to spam, be mindful about this. Also, there are plenty of niche-related subreddits you could use (like SEO if you're in the SEO niche).
