I'm new to ProductHunt, and so far, I'm impressed with the platform. However, I've come across the option to advertise, and I wanted to ask about your experiences. $5,000 is a significant amount for me, and before I take any further steps, I’d love to hear your opinions. Did the advertising pay off for you?

Supply and demand, plus the cost of reaching specific audiences. Good targeting ain't cheap. Not sure how effective PH advertising is - it's really expensive. For that money you can hire an agency and run Google Ads for half a year easily. You'll get much better results imho (depends on what you're selling tho).

Advertising can be quite expensive due to various factors like platform reach, targeting options, and competition. For us, spending $5,000 was a significant investment, but we saw value in the increased visibility and engagement it brought. It helped us reach a broader audience and generate leads that we might not have captured otherwise. However, results can vary, so it's essential to consider your specific goals and evaluate whether the potential ROI aligns with your budget.

Hi there! Welcome to ProductHunt! The $5,000 ad spend can indeed seem steep, but it's crucial to weigh the potential ROI. Many have found success due to the platform's engaged, tech-savvy audience. Consider your product's fit and target market. If it aligns well, the exposure can be invaluable. Some tips: 1. Set Clear Goals: Define what success looks like (e.g., sign-ups, downloads). 2. Optimize Your Listing: Ensure your product page is compelling. 3. Leverage Analytics: Track performance to adjust strategies. Ask fellow hunters about specific outcomes. Ultimately, it's about strategic investment. Good luck! 🚀
