Will my product launch be less successful if I do not create a Coming Soon/Upcomming page?

I had one being successful without it, but it definitely does help a lot. It will show up in the coming up page and more people are gonna notice it even before it launches!

Another way to think about it might be: does creating a coming soon page hurt the success of a product launch? If not, I'd just have one so people can discover the product that otherwise wouldn't.
