Candor makes culture building collaborative and simple. With Candor, teammates build beautiful personal ReadMes, share feedback, do check-ins, give shoutouts, and run amazing 1-on-1 meetings.
Hey PH community! I’m Kelsey, the Founder of Candor and I’m excited to be back on Product Hunt today.
When we were last on Product Hunt, our mission was the same — to help people find belonging at work — but our product looked very different. At the time, we were building a verified reference site, where you could get references on people you were considering working with. This was born out of a personal pain for me when I joined a team that wasn’t the right culture fit. I realized that my happiness as an employee was directly tied to the team I was working with, yet culture was a complete black box, especially for candidates.
As we continued to work on Candor, it became clear that culture isn’t just hard from the outside, but it’s also incredibly difficult to build internally. Though we expected people to sign up to create Candor profiles for hiring, we found that they actually signed up to share their profiles with their current teammates so they could get to know each other better. It was a huge learning for us — we weren’t wrong about the problem, but we had been approaching it from the wrong angle.
Today, we’re sharing what we’ve built in response to years (!!) of product feedback, research, and iteration: the new go-to culture platform for modern teams.
Candor is the best way for teams to build their culture in a digital-first environment. We make it easy to create user manuals, do shoutouts, give feedback, do check-ins, and run great 1-on-1 meetings. We created Candor for teams who care and are craving connection and belonging in their day-to-day work environment.
Our Candor profiles — which are the best place to express your professional self — will be free forever. We charge for our team features, starting at $5/teammate per month, after a 30-day free trial.
I’d love you to try out the product and share any feedback — we’re so appreciative of your thoughts and support.
@kelseycbishop love following the journey and hearing how Candor has evolved!
the latest product looks great and I'm a fan of the launch video – very creative and has its own personal style.
congrats to the team!
Pumped for this launch! Candor was a super important cornerstone of my most recent team, and so I can't wait to see how this brings it to the next level. Congrats to the whole team, proud to follow along!
We've been using Candor for a year. I love all the new features. It helps us feel connected even through my colleagues and I are all in different cities: San Diego, Seattle, the Bay Area, and Lisbon.
Check this product out!
This deserves a ton of love. The culture we all enjoy at our startups and the sense of community and purpose are a special luxury that we have. I've always wanted to make our culture the norm even at bigger companies. I really think you've got a nice feature set here. I'm definitely rooting for you.
One other note: Zoom is working on an alternative to big fortune-500 intranet systems that prioritizes culture and I've seen them meet some resistance in sales when C-level doesn't want to buy a "facebook for work" kind of culture. It's called Work Vivo, if you want to do a comparative analysis. If you could crack the code and get into that market it would be huge! Good luck. The world needs Candor, for sure :)
Such a cool concept for teams wanting a more connected experience. I played with Candor 1.0 and was already impressed. Excited to check out how it has evolved.
love these updates - seems like there's more of a focus on being a holistic culture platform which is great! the 1-on-1's feature is cool, meeting agenda is super useful. website looks fantastic too
Congratulations on the launch! I can definitely relate to the importance of finding the right culture fit in the workplace. It's fantastic to see how you've listened to feedback and iterated to create something that addresses real needs. Keep up the amazing work!
