@jsteneros Thanks Johan! Would love your feedback as we finalize our roadmap!

@amandasabreah Just had a look it seems like some projects have some screenshot hat missing the css styles. So you can't really see much. Also some projects are missing the latest screenshots. Would be good to have them there as well so you don't have to actually visit the website to compare. I feel that I would like to see more examples before thinking of going for a paid version.

@jsteneros This is great feedback, we're working on the backend to get everything showing. Also working on current states! Standby. We're also adjusting our free features to include more companies!

Great work and fantastic idea. I see it giving confidence to new founders seeing even big brands started somewhere and they keep improving based on their stage

@orask Thanks so much! It's definitely our mission to help founders. This process helped us out tremendously when we were first starting so we think there's some great potential here.

PH Fam, I’m Amanda, co-founder of CopyFoundry. This is our first product launch on PH and I’m happy to finally be here. TLDR; We got the itch to help you write better landing page copy with relevant messaging examples from top companies when they were at your stage of growth! Here is CopyFoundry. ____ @david_choe2 shared a lot of key pieces to our journey. We worked on our last product (Staat) for 2 years and got to a point where we asked ourselves 3 questions: 1. “are we fit to build a dev tool as marketers?” meh, on a scale of 1-10: 3. 2. “what has been the hardest part about building a dev tool?” positioning. 3. “what could we launch with lots of value in under 3 months that we’re fit for and are passionate about?” **Something that helps builders market products easier.** **And that’s how CopyFoundry was born.** This is certainly no overnight success! We’ve been building products for the last 4 years before starting CopyFoundry. We’ve had incredible companies try our products like Rivian and 9count, but the daily value we delivered was low and our time to ship was slow. **We set guidelines:** 1. Founder-fit had to be high (what were we uniquely positioned to build) 2. The solution must be tech-enabled (how do we ship faster) 3. It has to feel like play (what feels energizing vs. draining) **We know how hard product storytelling and positioning can be** In today’s world, people have to be *inspired* to take action and change behavior to buy into and stay using your product. Getting the storytelling, or the pitch (aka product positioning), can be really hard and take a lot of time. You’re either guessing, failing a lot, or doing hours of research to find your unique advantage. **We have a unique POV** Brand and product marketing shouldn’t have a macro approach. The process of taking a focused, contextualized approach should be easy/fast to get started, intel should be accessible and unique to your stage, and it should be layered with business and cultural data to help you stay abreast of consumer trends. We decided to make this a product. A modern-day marketing intelligence tool. **We launched a presale** We launched a presale to our network to understand the need, what would make a great marketing intelligence tool, and what was uniquely hard about developing positioning that we could help. We sold over $4,000 worth of presales, more than we ever made on any of the products in previous years. **It was a grind to work on products that didn’t take** The most painful part was launching products that didn’t add enough value to our users’ lives. But we learned so much about how to build for the end-user, that we’re extremely excited to do it again. This time, with something we’re passionate about and have experience in. **Committed to value** We’re launching on Product Hunt today as a celebration of making hard decisions, aligning with authenticity, and re-committing to adding value to the world. Our mission is to arm builders with the intelligence needed to make finding your brand edge easier. That’s the CopyFoundry story. We’d love to meet you and hear about yours in the comments!

What’s good PH fam! Thanks for hunting us @kevin 😇 Just over 72 hours ago, we had to shut down our first startup. 😓 We were building a tool that was solving a very nuanced and complex problem and we ran out of time and money before we could create the solution that would help the most users. In the process of building it, we also struggled with marketing and explaining what our product did – it was a niche audience, a novel product solution, and hard to grasp. So... we spent hours writing and rewriting (and rewriting) our landing page messaging. At first, we were grasping at straws – trying pretty much anything. After a while, we started to look at sites and companies that inspired us: Stripe, Calendly, Descript, etc. Although that helped, it still wasn’t quite it… We were comparing apples to oranges. Stripe in 2022 and our company in 2022 are two completely different beasts. Stripe in 2022 is a market leader, they’ve found PMF, and they’re well past their first value prop. We needed to compare apples to apples. So, we looked back in time to see how Stripe talked about itself in 2013 when it first launched. And that’s when things clicked. After doing this process 100s of times, we were able to increase our landing page conversion rate from <1% to over 5%. The messaging started to work. We decided to turn a very manual, very time-consuming process and turn it into a product. Today, we’re excited to share CopyFoundry with you so you can get the same research, inspiration, and improvement, without all the work. My co-founder @amandasabreah and I will be answering your questions for the next 24 hours! Feel free to ask about our product, our process for gathering feedback, how we acquire users, our plans for the future, — or anything really!

Amazing for indie hackers positioning work!
Lorenzo
Looks great but would like to ask something. We can look at the companies websites/landing pages by using web.archive.org. What does the product offers more?
David Choe
@lorenzo_russell Hi Lorenzo, great question! CopyFoundry provides the business context (like funding stages) so that you can get a more comprehensive understanding of why companies are messaging the way they are based on the maturity of the business. As CopyFoundry grows we'll be able to add additional layers of business context so you can see the full picture behind the messaging and positioning of a company.
