Inspired, copied and pasted from Startup? https://designmodo.com/startup/
Tanya Kurkova
@andrew_laurentiu hi Andrew. Which part is copied /inspired? Genuinely curious because I can't see it myself.
Tony Lea
@andrew_laurentiu When looking at designing the builder we took inspiration and ideas from the top page creators out there, so you may see some similarities. Nothing has been copied and pasted. Thanks for the comment 😊
Michael Girg
I talk about the visual part of the builder, and a few blogs seem to be VERY INSPIRED from Startup blocks :D just my opinion :) And, it seems not only me consider this VERY inspired :)

@andrew_laurentiu It's not like Startup was the first "drag-drop" builder for websites, so I'm sure even those creators had some kind of "inspiration" to develop their product. As far as I can tell @tony_lea4 developed a product to fill a need (Tailwind compatibility) so πŸ‘ for the effort and contribution instead of claiming so kind of copying is done to some other product you like/worked on.
Conner Panaro
@andrew_laurentiu You are definitely right. Just compared the 2 and it literally is copied and pasted from Startup.

Hello, fellow product creators! My name is Tony and I created Tails because I wanted an easy way to re-use many of the components that I was creating in my projects. I also created this because I am a big fan of TailwindCSS and I feel this can be useful for so many designers and developers. Please give me any feedback or any questions you have about the project and I would love to answer them. Thanks!

@tony_lea4 Great work Tony! congratulations on the launch for Tails! πŸ’œ much love form Singapore. Trying it out now

@tony_lea4 This works so smooth! I'm super blown away that you use Alpine under the hood. Asked myself recently if I could use Alpine for a drag'n'drop editor and now I find Tails 🀯 Great job!
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @fajarsiddiq Perfect πŸ‘Œ thanks for the support. If you have any additional feedback, I would love to hear it. Thanks again 🍻
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @fscholz You totally should build a drag and drop builder with Alpine, makes it fun again. And a lot easier than you may think ⚑️
Csaba Kissi
@tony_lea4 Nice work man! I follow your stuff for years now (especially because of Laravel) and what I like is that you're trying to be a bit different. Even blog posts on your blog are unique when it comes to topics you're covering.
Giacinto Carlucci
Nice! Does it provide html result at the end?
Tony Lea
@giacintocarlucci Thanks! πŸ™ Yep, when you wish to export your design you can copy the HTML to clipboard or you can Download a fully functional HTML file of the design πŸ€™

Hi, makers! It’s manager from Craftwork here. I contacted Tony during the day twice and didn’t get any response so I have to write to you here, in the comments. I noticed that you used some of Craftwork illustrations in your project. Unfortunately, such use isn't allowed by Commercial type of license that you got. As I mentioned before, while talking with Tony via email, you need an Extended License to use Craftwork illustrations in your templates. Looking forward to your response here, or via email, as you wish.

There have been a few concerns about a few of the assets used in these designs. I am currently using assets from @getcraftwork, which are some amazing assets. None of the assets are included in the downloadable version, they are simply static PNG's that you can then replace with your own images. I am going to be in contact with them to see how we can either work together or rectify the concern. Thanks again for all your support :)
Daryll Wong
I can see this potentially being a useful tool for developers learning tailwindcss - if the html css export result is realistic enough
Tony Lea
@daryllman Agreed 100%, the HTML is very clean, promise 😊

@tony_lea4 Love the page builder, was able to build a page which was in my mind in less than 5 mins. I was able to download the page, but is there any option to save your page or re import your saved page?
Tony Lea
@tony_lea4 @arjunpar Awesome! Glad to hear. At the moment this version does not have the ability to Save or import; however, saving your templates is definitely on the roadmap for version 2 πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

This looks so awesome!
Tony Lea
@david_levai Thanks man πŸ˜‰
Alejandro Camacho
Great job guys! The design and page layout are outstanding! Is this compatible with WordPress or any CMS? It'd be awesome if you'd develop an extension to make this tool universal Anyway, congrats again!
Tony Lea
@alejandro_camacho Thanks man! It's not currently compatible with any CMS; however, these templates can be used to create your own custom theme in the CMS of your choice. Thanks again for the kind words ;)
Francesco Signoretti
Nice! What's the tech stack powering the tool?
Tony Lea
@francesco_signoretti Thanks! It’s all behind the TALL stack. TailwindCSS, AlpineJS, Laravel, and Livewire. Great stack to work with 😁

Like the idea, didn't like being forced into a DevDojo account that I can't even delete on my own. Looked promising but you can't do much editing (except content/classes on existing blocks from pre-made templates).
Tony Lea
@tgerin Thanks for the feedback, this is the original release and we’ll be adding more customizations to the blocks in the next couple versions πŸ‘
Augis Kaleinykas
Looks awesome, well done!
