Grain is a cheat code to unlock so much value from meetings. Automatic transcripts + the ability to create shareable snippets as quick as highlighting text makes extracting and sharing meeting insights effortless.
Best of all - it's so much easier to be truly present in a meeting when I know I can revisit the transcripts/video as soon as the meeting is over. With Grain, I can be a better listener and participant, allowing me to have more in depth conversations.
Would go so far as to say that startups that use Grain will have a competitive advantage thanks to accelerated learning & sharing of knowledge. Don't let all that time spent in Zoom go to waste!
@kaz up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start is my personal favorite Grain cheat code.. ๐. Thanks so much Adam, glad you've been enjoying Grain!
I've been using Grain for a couple of months now. We do a lot of user research and expert research for courses at Reforge. Capturing the exact words, emotions, and other nuances has been amazing. Those things tend to get watered down in summary docs or even quotes. ๐
Itโs been fantastic to use Grain for the past several months. Being able to tie my notes directly to video clips has been a gamechanger in my collaboration with partners. Having the transcript to be able to search and find a part of a meeting I want to revisit is hugely helpful. Iโm excited to see where Grain goes... once you start using it for your video calls, it doesnโt make sense to stop. I can see this becoming a core part of every team's stack, such as Slack , Zoom itself, and newer useful asynchronous collaboration tools such as Loom. Congrats @mgadams3 and @jakecadams on launch!
I have been using Grain for a few months now ... and it's a true game changer๐
I spend >6hrs per *day* on Zoom, often back to back calls.
It's safe to say, I don't have time to take notes after the call ... and at the end of the day I just can't recall what was important and what wasn't.
Using Grain, I've been able to take a few timestamped notes during each call. Super easy, low friction. And I can go back and check my notes ... in context! With the recording surrounding it.
Tl;dr: I can finally extract a ton more value from all the time I spend in Zoom calls
@guillaumecabane So many of my favorite Grain highlights of you professing your love for Grain ๐... but this one from our onboarding call back in April is an all-time favorite: https://grain.co/highlight/iteKa...
I am extremely excited to hunt Grain's official 1.0
Many of the PH community have been avid beta testers of it over the last months :)
Grain makes it easy to make long zoom calls accessible for those who weren't able to join. Example usecases could be important team calls or customer research interviews.
We're huge fans of Grain at User Interviews! We use it for all of our sales calls and reviews and for user research studies.
The product delights and they keep making it better over time. It's a game changer.
We've been using Grain since early in the beta here at Graphy and it's been immensely helpful, not only to keep our user interviews in order but also to pass along the feedback to engineers in a targeted, easy to digest format. I love how fast the team has been improving the product and the support has been excellent from day 1. ๐๐ Congrats to the team!
Any plans on linux app? At least for Ubuntu LTS.
As a web dev using Linux work laptop and participating in Zoom conferences all the time Grain would be useful.
Grain is a fantastic product! Weโve been using it as a team to capture customer interviews. Our team uses the annotations to remember critical moments of an interview. Weโve used the emoji annotations to flag sticky moments in a prototype test. Itโs super easy to create highlight clips to share with stakeholders. Big fan of what this team is up to!
As a designer in these work from home days, filled with Zoom calls, I found Grain to be invaluable for keeping track of feedback, tagging and extracting key highlights to improve my process.
Been using Grain for months at Getro and couldnโt go back. My favorite feature is the ability to share clips of videos with comments - saves so much time not having to sift through videos!
Love this product. As a distributed team across the world, we use Grain to share context around key decisions.
The product team also uses it to record our user interviews. I personally love the ability to easily highlight and share snippets. We share wins from our students or pain points to help us build empathy with our students!
It's being used across a Product, Design, Marketing, Engineering and Course Development here at https://www.springboard.com
Such a useful tool for product people. It just makes sense to do customer research using Grain once you try it. Saves so much time across the entire process of gathering and analyzing qualitative information that typically required multiple tools stitched together plus a lot more effort to organize and find insights.
