I love Lingvanex products. I have been using your mobile translator for a long time, congratulations on the new product.
I think that using a country flag is not a good idea. Language is not a country. Except for Spain, Spanish is spoken by almost all of South America. Look how it did on Google.
I definitely need something like this, finding it hard lately to understand all messages from my teammates and it's preventing me from doing deep work!
What are the limits for Translated characters and Number of requests in paid subscription?
@timgutzwiller Hi Tim! Thanks for your question! With Paid Subscription you will have no limits for the number of translation requests and the number of characters. This applies to all types of translations: chats, text, documents, image recognition.
I need to buy a separate subscription if I already have the annual subscription to the Desktop translator?
@devenwalker If you already have an annual subscription for Windows or MaсOS, then all our products work with it including Translator for Slack. Thank you for your support and for using our products.
I like the idea! Especially considering that I have Italians, Russians and Americans in my team. But it's awkward that all the channel members can see the translation, instead of only one person who needed it.

I've installed the app, added it to my channel and sent a file, but it hadn't been translated.
@johnravenna Thanks for your message! In order to translate documents, post it in the private chat with the bot, not the public channel.
The Lingvanex Translator is not accessing the files in group channels for privacy reasons. And by sharing a file in private chat, you're explicitly telling the bot that you want to translate this file. 😉
Why it's better than other free Slack bots? Or better than those ones, that use Google or Yandex API?

The free apps can't translate high volumes of text, because the existing APIs (Google, Yandex, еtc) are very expensive. And not every team can create a high-quality Neural Translation Engine on their own. But we did. That's why we can offer our users cheaper translation with the same quality.
Also, our app can translate not only the text but also documents, websites, recognize and translate images, that other apps for Slack can't.

Wow. That's a cool idea. It's pretty convenient for a foreign client to translate either he or I messages without leaving the messenger.
