Congrats on the launch! It's a cool product, but i sometimes struggle with this like this (similar to Freedom) where it's not always specific apps that are the problem. For instance, sometimes it's youtube, but sometimes I'm trying to upload videos to youtube and edit my content on there, and that's "work". Do you have a good way to address that where you can only do specific things in apps? Ie, send a tweet, but not scroll on twitter.
@britt_joiner not sure it's possible with Opal but I find an allow-list approach the best. With focusbear.io, you can allow "studio.youtube.com" and all other sites are blocked (including regular Youtube).
@britt_joiner Thanks for writing! With Opal the entire app disapears but we encourage you to take "breaks" which are short times to make to apps reappear on a timer; so you can be very intentional about the way you use it for example "5 min on YouTube to post this video".
Such an awesome looking product. I've actually been wanting to more deliberately commit to focus time during the workday. I think The New Opal is just what I needed...can't wait to use it once iOS16 works out all of its bugs 😁😅Congrats on the launch today @kschlenker and team! 💯🚀
