While conducting interviews we've learned that some users start their routine with a blocker of 1.5h each day to get on top of their inbox. Not only for catching up with important inbound emails, but for skimming/reading through all the N newsletters they signed up to.
Too many newsletters..
It's seriously going to change my life and make my inbox way more efficient. I mean, I might actually start enjoying checking my emails now! Keep up the amazing work @originalmatth! You're killing it!

@originalmatth Congrats on the launch man! From the looks of it, the product is very interesting and I just signed up, connected my gmail with it. But it is still in loading, I actually have thousands of email in my inbox. I hope it does not break your system. I'm waiting for it to finish syncing everything and then I'll share my complete feedback with you. ;)

@originalmatth The emails are finally showing up. But I'm also seeing emails from the "Social" section as well. Which Gmail usually keeps separately from the primary section - and I personally like it. So is there a way to just view the important emails (or just the emails from the primary section)?

In the launch material we highlighted the email functionalities, as those are what we support at the moment.
At YC they teach that there is never too early to launch. We know that we have a long way to go to improve the experience we provide.

Skim is good at summarising inbound emails and drafting replies based on the context.
Prioritising the emails based on recipients and content is next up in our backlog, same for extending the reply functionality.

Working with people's email inbox must be done with a privacy-first approach in mind.
This is often genuinely incredible! As a grad understudy my mail gets filled quick and its a every day handle to go through it. This truly has made it so much less demanding and I so appreciate this. Great work!
