I'll be direct - this is one of the best platformer games I've ever played, and maybe even the best one I've played. The controls are perfectly fluid (especially on a controller), and every death feels like one that was fair and from my own mistakes, not because of the game unfair. This is also one of the best "hard" games that I've played, since I never once felt like giving up, despite having hundreds of deaths on just single levels. (My overall death count so far is over a thousand!)
Other games might make you frustrated and want to quit, but this game feels just right and keeps you wanting to push through with its unique and fresh game mechanics with every chapter. Despite the entire game being based on a single dash mechanic, every world has different types of obstacles and entities to interact with, keeping it unique and interesting.
The music complements the story and the challenge of the game really well, and keeps you excited to play. Even though the story and cutscenes are a small part of the game, it actually becomes very thoughtful and plays out well, as it even gives a reason for the game being so hard.
This game also has over 30 hours of playtime (at least for me)! The hidden strawberries in every level are really fun to collect, and it has a lot of replay value. I've replayed every level at least 3 times to try and find all the strawberries, B-Sides, or even to see how fast I could speedrun the level and compete with friends! There is also a ton of content you can unlock. If you find the B-Side for a level, you unlock an entire new chapter that's even harder than the original level! You can then unlock C-Sides as well, essentially allowing you to unlock 3x the number of levels in the original game! I've heard that they're considering creating a level creator in the future as well, which would lead to even more awesome content to play.
Overall, this is definitely one of the best games I've played, and probably even the best 2D platformer I've played!
If you like difficult platformers, this is a wonderful game. I loved the story related to mental health too. Lovely

Amazing game! one of those that you`ll remember for a long time.
