After paying nearly a million Creators, we've learned a lot about who they are, how they operate their businesses, and how they're treated as risky consumers vs business owners. These learnings solidified our mission to become a true Creator-first financial platform to give Creators financial tools and services normal businesses have access to.
Today is the day to lift the covers of our latest product -- I'm excited to announce the team at Creator Cash has shipped the first true banking platform for Creators. Our new banking platform was designed specifically for Creator businesses. Before I tell you why it's cool, let me tell you why Creators need financial tools and support to serve them directly:
- They're mostly small businesses growing from 0 to 1
- Their revenue starts small, choppy, and can be unpredictable.
- Their income sources are generally platform and 1099-based
- They're often young, thin file, underbanked, and financially unestablished
We saw these challenges for Creator businesses and so we built a financial studio approach to banking. We offer a number of pieces now with a lot more to come. This first release does a lot! It has a number of important features including:
- Creator Business Banking, A true banking account that's separate from personal accounts. No more meddling the two and mixing business income with personal expenses.
- Creator Card, A rewards driven checking card that lets Creators spend their earnings when and where they need it.
- Instant Cash, On-demand access to your current and future earnings that also helps build credit. We aim to help Creators go from a credit score of 480 to 780!
- Earnings Analytics, A revenue centric view of Creator income to help provide context of what's earning and help Creators plan.
This is a key inflection point for Creators everywhere. The Creator Economy has the potential to be massive and contribute significantly to the global GDP, but not without the tools, services, and support that every business who ever made something had access to.
