Its capabilities are perhaps unrivaled by any other application which implements regular expressions to search, replace, and/or extract data. It can target thousands of files with ease, and supports creating backups of the files it modifies. It works with several of the most common document formats such as Excel, Word, and PDF. Additionally, ZIP, RAR, 7z, and many more archive format can have their contents processed or ignored. PowerGREP can even perform file renaming. This software tool is kinda sorta mind-blowing.
