As someone who grew up around skateboarding and surfing, I was always afraid of getting hurt while learning board sport. However, Scooterboard was so easy to learn that I was carving within minutes!
Looks more like a scooter, but you end up riding it more like a skateboard. You never have that feeling like the throttle or brake is gonna rocket the board out from underneath you because you have something to hold on to. Also the controls are built / wired into the handle, so you never have to worry about losing wireless connection to mission-critical functions like your brakes...
This thing is a riot to ride! Yes, it looks funny, but honestly, who cares. It handles surprisingly well, and it's more comfortable than you'd think by just looking at it. Acceleration is surprisingly punchy. Feels really sturdy!
It might look dangerous and impossible, but it's quite the opposite once you learn it. You have total control of speed and direction, super intuitive. Turn on a dime, weave around any obstacle in the city you can imagine. And is so satisfying and fun you end up inventing reasons to go out and ride on a daily basis. I've been commuting daily on my Solowheel for over 3 years now. It's a legit vehicle!
