I am compelled to share my recent disheartening experience with OmniGPT's Pro Plan. Just yesterday evening, a mere 12 hours ago, I registered for their Pro Plan, enticed by the promise of a complimentary 3-day trial period before any payment was required. The allure of unlimited GPT-4 messages was particularly persuasive, and I found no indication of any restrictions such as a fair use policy. Had there been any, I would have refrained from signing up, considering my existing subscriptions with Perplexity.ai and DocGPT, which also provide unlimited GPT-4 messages despite some user interface issues that currently hinder my workflow.
I dedicated the night to utilizing OmniGPT's GPT-4 128k model as an aid for coding, and initially, the experience was seamless and highly satisfactory. However, after approximately 8 hours of use, my account was abruptly downgraded from "Pro" to "Free" without warning. My subscription was inexplicably canceled, and I was left with no option to sign up again or reactivate the trial that was promised.
In an attempt to understand the situation, I contacted a colleague and requested that they attempt to sign up for the service. To our dismay, the 3-day trial was no longer available, despite the website's continued advertisement of such an offer. It appears that OmniGPT's marketing assurances are nothing but falsehoods.
It is utterly unacceptable to advertise an unlimited GPT-4 access and a free trial, only to revoke access from users who engage with the service as advertised. This level of unprofessionalism has completely dissuaded me from considering a paid subscription post-trial. I urge potential customers to seek services elsewhere, as there are superior alternatives that honor their commitments to unlimited GPT-4 message access, unlike OmniGPT.
