If you’ve ever spent hours and hours tracking down that perfect present for friends and family, then you’ll know gifting can be a daunting task. Not to mention, keeping track of special occasions in the first place is tricky business.
But what if you could receive a text message that not only reminds you that there’s a special event on the horizon but also provides you with hand-curated gift recommendations specifically tailored to your loved one?
Occasional.ly is an AI gift finder app that tracks occasions, sends reminders, and offers AI-powered gift recommendations through text messages, push notifications and email reminders.

Once you’ve connected with family and friends on the platform, the app then allows you to track occasions for a specific “giftee” you’d like to buy for.
Users will then receive text message reminders that include product links and a dynamically-generated gif showcasing Occasional.ly’s top three gift ideas, which are sourced from small businesses.
“We created Occasional.ly with the mindset that gift giving doesn’t have to be time consuming or stressful,” developer Lukas deConantsesznak said. “Our mission is to make gifting seamless for everyone.”
Lukas launched the Occasional.ly business with his wife following her experiences of continuously dealing with the difficult burden of gift shopping for friends and family, with hopes using more convenient methods powered by AI could streamline the gift-giving process.
What’s particularly impressive about the service is that users don’t always need to open the app, rather they can specify their intended recipient’s interests ahead of the time, then receive a text message close to the special event with the curated gift ideas, making gift-shopping a cinch.

“Eventually, we want to be a one-stop shop for all occasion needs,” Lukas shared. “ AI-driven gift recommendations paired with hand-written greeting cards can all be sent to your giftee with just a few taps in the app.”
“To top it off, an AI-based gift assistant can even allow you to get this done using naturally-processed language via text or voice. That’s the future of gifting, and Occasional.ly is here to bring it to you.”
Occasional.ly (beta access) is available to try over on their official website.

"It’s time to create new love stories about yourself through the power of positive affirmations and mediations that lift you out of anxiety and fear. I am a women’s empowerment coach who endured a lot of fear and hardships that would paralyze me and stop me from living the life I know I deserve. I would get so far, but something inside me would tell me I’m not worth going any further. I had to learn how to become stronger than my thoughts. I mastered this art through the power of therapeutic mediations. Now I share my techniques that help many women create the life they desire on their terms. They learn to love themselves in a way they most likely never learned before." Love stories

This app sounds promising but I’m scared to share personal information’s and contacts with a start-up company. The classic way is better in my opinion since I write down all the important celebrations and the gift ideas that I can possible buy.
