You got it right about the pros. But there's one con that is rarely mentioned: Turnover.
Remote employees often experience symptoms of depression or loneliness over the long-term and this leads to turnover. I personally don't like to hire remote talent in positions where I require stability. Contractors can be remote but full-time has to be on-site or hybrid.
