3 mistakes to avoid when editing video (learnt from my YouTube)

It is one year I have been active on YouTube interviewing founders. With each episode, I do some f**k up. But never mind. Even when you are about to do something in the future, learn from my mistakes. šŸ˜€ Those mistakes in my interviews: šŸ™Š The spoken word is on mono instead of stereo. šŸ™‰ Too loud background audio effects. šŸ™ˆ Too many visual effects. You can also acquire it for your product promo video e.g. for the launch. Additional things to product video (specifically when you want to promote product): šŸ“¦ Show the product in use in the video. šŸ‘© Show face to create a human connection (aligning with persona). āœ… Along with that explain benefits/positive results for the user. You can find me on YouTube if you would like to learn more about some good founders' tips. šŸ‘‡ (see comment)

@rohanrecommends Thank you! :) Do you mean for editing? I am fully in CapCut, for creating thumbnails Photopea + Figma. That's probably all what I use for editing :)

You are right. Sound is even more important than video quality. A video with good audio and a low resolution is more likely to be watched than a video with top image quality but poor audio. Some other tips that might help: šŸ“¹ Use more than one angle for your shots šŸ’” Watch a tutorial on proper lighting (key light, fill light, back light) āœ‚ļø Really cut out all uhm's and ehm's and pauses As a creator, you are fighting for every millisecond of the viewer's attention span.

@federico_zuluaga_knorr All of those are pretty valid. Now, my space doesn't offer me to have more cameras (angles) but I would go for this, or at least, when I have an interview, there is a guest to "have those more shots".

It's a small detail, but so important when you want to make your video sound right.

First 5 sec. of any video should be the most flashy and engaging part of the video. gives viewers enough intrigue to keep watching.

Haha, I feel your pain on those mistakes! The mono sound was something I also missed at first.

Such good advice! Those small details like mono sound and too much background noise can totally ruin an otherwise awesome video
