I'd love to hear about the thought process / pros / cons etc.

I've considered it due to my lifestyle of not being able to contribute an entire weekday to the launch of my product. The risk is way less visibility on the weekends though.

@scottlabsai that makes total sense. It’s a whole day / night affair. I guess it depends on your goal for the day. Is it to win - or to get optimal visibility.

I haven't but that could work for some. On the weekend, the competition is less intense, so one might rank high with just a hundred votes or even less.

It would be nice to hear from someone who has done both a weekday and weekend launch, so we can hear from them what the difference is in terms of competitiveness, visibility, etc.

Weekends are like beta testing for software updates - great for a soft launch, but not ideal for the big reveal! Plus, launching during the week gives you that "fresh Monday morning" vibe to tackle any quirks that pop up.

I have an appointment to launch on this Sunday, so I am very concerned about this topic

Weekend launches can capitalize on consumers' increased availability and leisure time, potentially driving higher engagement and immediate feedback. However, it's crucial to assess the readiness of support teams and the potential for media coverage, which might be less robust on weekends. A well-orchestrated weekend launch could create buzz and momentum, but it must be backed by robust marketing, support plans, and data-driven insights to ensure success and mitigate risks.

@amit_doda yea I think with PH specifically you'd really need to somehow shift user behaviour - just way less activity on the app altogether on the weekends.
