    Yesterday was awful 😫 I couldn't finish a small task. A lot of distractions and communication with many people made it impossible for me to do my work. In the evening I had a choice: - go to sleep 😴 - try to do something 🧑‍💻 I chose to sleep. Today in 10 minutes I finished the task estimated at 1 hour 🤯 Rest and replenish your ability to concentrate. It's not a game of working more, it's a game of working faster. What do you do when you lose focus? Do you hustle at all costs?

    I have a flow chart that I follow to combat unproductive days. Basically the starting point is identifying the reason for such - is it fatigue, health, interruptions, IT breakdown etc? Certain reasons require a short-term fix, like taking a nap or rebooting your computer, longer-term could be putting task management system in place. All depends on the reason! :)

    I am learning to allow myself to take breaks. I wish I had this awareness as a kid (that rest is essential for the brain :)

    Taking a break to prepare caffe of mate usually helps me refocus.
