Content and online presense. Look at DigitalOcean for example - they have a great reputation in the tech world because of the guides they wrote back in the day. Some proper guides for actual real-world usecases.
This sure did bring them a client or dozen. So you can write some useful guides for people in your industry. Or just articles on any topic really.
