Preparation before every meeting. Knowing the prospect, and basics of their business would be one of the key things.

Know before hand what possible objections might be coming from clients,take the lead in the process and take the approach of educating rather than selling

Be the one to ask more questions. The one who is asking the questions is usually in control of the conversation
