This app is pure garbage. It opened properly ONCE for, and I couldn't even record a video before it just disappeared. Don't waste your time on this app, it's worthless!

Was fine to make a video, but hung up my computer at one point (had to restart) as it was throwing lots of exceptions. Also had trouble exporting to mp4 on multiple occasions

Been using Kap since the initial release, and I'm super happy with 2.0. Cannot suggest Kap highly enough, especially if you need to capture GIFs frequently.
